Veteran actor Sameer Khakhar who was loved for his character Khopri in the TV show Nukkad left for a heavenly abode today (15 March) at the age of 71. He will be remembered for the iconic roles he did in TV and Films. He was a part of various TV shows and films in the 38 years of his acting career. The actor had taken a short break from Showbiz and settled in the USA. Later, he returned and also did two Gujarati plays and was popular for his character in Salman Khan's film Jai Ho. He died on 15th March 2023 due to multiple organ failure. He faced respiratory and urinatory issues.
He got admitted to M M Hospital, Borivali where he breathed his last. The actor was active in both the TV and Film industries. He did some notable shows on Television - Nukkad, Manorajan, Circus, Naya Nukkad, Shrimaan Shrimati, and Adaalat. He was last seen in Sanjivani which starred Surbhi Chandna and Namit Khanna.
“I am hopeful people who know me will offer me work. I would like to work till my last breath. I want to entertain people all my life, I am not tired yet,” Khakhar added.

उन्हें एम एम अस्पताल, बोरीवली में भर्ती कराया गया जहां उन्होंने अंतिम सांस ली। अभिनेता टीवी और फिल्म उद्योग दोनों में सक्रिय थे। उन्होंने टेलीविजन पर कुछ उल्लेखनीय कार्यक्रम किए - नुक्कड़, मनोरंजन, सर्कस, नया नुक्कड़, श्रीमान श्रीमति और अदालत। उन्हें आखिरी बार संजीवनी में देखा गया था जिसमें सुरभि चंदना और नमित खन्ना ने अभिनय किया था।
“मुझे उम्मीद है कि जो लोग मुझे जानते हैं वे मुझे काम की पेशकश करेंगे। मैं अपनी आखिरी सांस तक काम करना चाहूंगा। मैं जीवन भर लोगों का मनोरंजन करना चाहता हूं, मैं अभी थका नहीं हूं।
