 WHAT IS RAM NAVAMI

Rama Navami is a popular Hindu festival. It signifies the birth of Lord Rama. Lord Rama is the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu. The day is observed on the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri every year. Navami is the day on which Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, incarnated in human form in the land of Ayodhya. He is the ardha ansh of Vishnu or has half the divinitive qualities of Lord Vishnu. The word “Rama” literally means one who is divinely blissful and who gives joy to others, and one in whom the sages rejoice. This day, marking the birthday of Lord Rama, is also observed as the marriage day of Rama and Sita and thus also referred to as Kalyanotsavam.

SIGNIFICANCE OF RAM NAVAMI

1. The story of the Ramayan teaches us the eternal and universal message of Dharma versus adharma, of deva versus demon, of good versus evil, as represented in the battle between Rama and Ravana.

2. Through Lord Rama's divine and noble actions, he teaches the world to choose dharma over Artha (when he leaves for the forest rather than be coronated as King) and to choose Moksha over Kama (when he chooses his kingdom over his marriage).

3. Ravana was powerful, dynamic and a great scholar. Yet, he was arrogant, egoistic, greedy and lustful. There is one main difference: Bhagwan Rama’s heart overflowed with divinity, love, generosity, humility, and a sense of duty. Ravana’s heart, in contrast, was filled with avarice, hatred, and egoism. 

TEACHINGS OF LORD RAMA'S LIFE:-

1. AS A SON

Respect and obey your parents. Ready to sacrifice our comfort for them.

2. AS A STEP SON

Even when your step mother discriminates against you in favor of her own birth child, do not resent her, do not fight against her. Respect her and her wishes.

3. AS A BROTHER

Remain loyal to your brother. Care for him.

4 AS A HUSBAND

Protect your wife. Fight for her protection and her purity. 

5. AS A KING

Sacrifice everything for your people. Do not worry about your own comfort, your own convenience or your own pleasure. Be willing to put the kingdom ahead of your own needs.

CELEBRATION OF RAM NAVAMI

1. Ram Navami is celebrated in a variety of ways ranging from bhajan programs and pujas to ratha yatras and pandal programs.

2. Bhajan programs are organized both at homes as well as in Temples. During these programs, bhajans extolling the virtues of Lord Rama, Lakshman, Sita, and Hanuman are sung. Devotees say Ramayana Katha or chant Sunderkand.

3.In addition, people clean their homes and worship Lord Rama, Lakshman, Sita and Hanuman.

4. In Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama, a huge fair is held with thousands of devotees gathering to celebrate this festival. The fair continues for two days, and rathyatras, carrying the Dieties of Ram, his brother Laxman, His wife Sita, and His greatest devotee Mahavir Hanuman, are taken out from almost all Ram Temples. 

5. Many people also observe fasts and perform special rituals to mark the occasion. In some parts of India, processions are taken out with statues of Lord Rama, his wife Sita, and his brother Lakshman, accompanied by music and dance.

राम नवमी का महत्व

2. एक सौतेले बेटे के रूप में

यहां तक ​​​​कि जब आपकी सौतेली माँ अपने ही बच्चे के पक्ष में आपके साथ भेदभाव करती है, तो उसे नाराज न करें, उसके खिलाफ लड़ाई न करें। उसका और उसकी इच्छाओं का सम्मान करें।

3. एक भाई के रूप में

अपने भाई के प्रति वफादार रहें। उसकी देखभाल करो।

4 एक पति के रूप में

अपनी पत्नी की रक्षा करो। उसकी सुरक्षा और उसकी पवित्रता के लिए लड़ो।

5. एक राजा के रूप में

अपने लोगों के लिए सब कुछ बलिदान करो। अपने आराम, अपनी सुविधा या अपने सुख की चिंता मत करो। अपनी जरूरतों के आगे राज्य को रखने के लिए तैयार रहें।

राम नवमी का उत्सव

1. रामनवमी को भजन कार्यक्रमों और पूजा से लेकर रथ यात्रा और पंडाल कार्यक्रमों तक कई तरह से मनाया जाता है।

2. भजन कार्यक्रम घरों और मंदिरों दोनों में आयोजित किए जाते हैं। इन कार्यक्रमों के दौरान, भगवान राम, लक्ष्मण, सीता और हनुमान के गुणों का गुणगान करने वाले भजन गाए जाते हैं। भक्त रामायण कथा कहते हैं या सुंदरकांड का जाप करते हैं।

3. इसके अलावा, लोग अपने घरों को साफ करते हैं और भगवान राम, लक्ष्मण, सीता और हनुमान की पूजा करते हैं।

4. भगवान राम की जन्मभूमि अयोध्या में इस उत्सव को मनाने के लिए हजारों भक्तों के जमावड़े के साथ एक विशाल मेला लगता है। मेला दो दिनों तक चलता है, और राम, उनके भाई लक्ष्मण, उनकी पत्नी सीता और उनके सबसे बड़े भक्त महावीर हनुमान के विग्रहों को ले जाने वाली रथयात्रा लगभग सभी राम मंदिरों से निकाली जाती है।

5. इस अवसर पर कई लोग व्रत भी रखते हैं और विशेष अनुष्ठान करते हैं। भारत के कुछ हिस्सों में, संगीत और नृत्य के साथ भगवान राम, उनकी पत्नी सीता और उनके भाई लक्ष्मण की मूर्तियों के साथ जुलूस निकाले जाते हैं।
